Say Hello to the Mvule Project Ugandan Kids

It's a NEW DAY at Mvule Project!

We've made it even easier to plant a tree in Uganda ... for just $20.

We have learned a lot in our first year of tree planting. We now know that our village partners can plant more trees -- up to 250 per village -- and care for them during that fragile first year of life. We're getting smarter about how we manage the growth of the project. And we're more confident than ever that the project is a viable way to create economic opportunity in East Africa. The successes and challenges of this past year have made us stronger.

And that makes it easier for us to involve more people.

Now, a lower price means more people can sponsor trees.

More trees will be planted. More villages helped.

More. Better. Stronger.

More Mvule trees.
A Better Mvule Project.
And a Stronger, Healthier Uganda.

This month's featured project Kids of Nsinze village

Trees for the Nsinze village have been planted. Twenty trees were lost in the initial three months of planting, but each has been replaced with new seedlings. The primary school will begin construction in January of 2009. Villagers in Nsinze must send their children to an overcrowded school with an average classroom of 100 students per teacher. This new school will create a more intimate learning environment.
